Private equity firm Oirgo partners, a specialist in Chinese investments, is backing a firm that is about to build its first desalination plant there. Aqualyng builds and operates desalination plants using its patented energy-saving technologies. It is to provide a large plant for the Caofeidian Industrial Development Zone, just outside Beijing. Initially, the plant will provide 1.7m cubic feet for water a day rising over the next 15 years.
